Our property value study professionals started their careers with the Texas Comptroller, arguing on the state’s behalf. Their knowledge and experience provides us with all of the resources necessary to reduce state assigned taxable values.
When a school district hires us, we examine the data used to make the state’s determination and analyze each category in the report. We photograph and inspect the property, talk to property owners, obtain signed affidavits and review appraisal and sales information.
We also work to secure as much additional state aid for our clients as possible. If a school district’s taxable value has declined, we can petition the Comptroller’s Property Tax Assistance Division to perform a taxable value audit. A favorable ruling can result in additional state aid or a reduction in recapture payments.
